The dolmens of Kerbourg

Located between Kerhinet hamlet and the road D51, by the mill "La Masse", the dolmens of Kerbourg are to visit at the end of a countryside path. Thez are separated one to the other, by 50 meters.
Dating back from the Neolithic period, these two beautifull testimonies evoque the earliest occupation of the Brière by Human species.
If the second dolmen is collapsed, the first one is still in a good condition: from the entrance to the chamber, the whole granitstone structure is 7 meters long and 3 meters wide.
Despite of the constuction quality, these tumbs, where bodies were buried from 4500 B.C to the celtic period, are today incomplete : the cairn which used to top them, disappeared in the 19th century.
Originally, the dolmens of Kerbourg, certainly looked like the tumulus of Dissignac.
