International Marathon of the Côte d'Amour

SATURDAY 8 AND SUNDAY 9 NOVEMBER
The municipality is a partner of this major sporting event which will bring together over two days about 15,000 runners who will participate in the different events.
If Batz-sur-Mer will not be impacted on Saturday, November 8th because the scheduled races will take place in Guérande, it will be strongly impacted on Sunday, November 9th with the half marathon and marathon races.
For the half marathon, the first runners will arrive from the road to Ker Jacot around 8:45 am and the last ones around 9:20 am. They will then reach the town of Batz-sur-Mer (route de Kerlan, Grande Rue), pass behind the Saint-Guénolé church and join the Boulevard de Mer from the Rue de la Plage. The participants will leave the territory by the road of the Govelle, from 9:15 for the first and at 10:20 for the last.
For the marathon, the first runners will arrive at La Govelle from Le Pouliguen around 9:45 am and will join the Manérick road. After crossing the large roundabout of Kermoisan, they will arrive in Kervalet, for the first at 9:45 and for the last at 11:00. The road axis between the roundabout of Kermoisan and that of Sibéan will be totally closed during this period.
They will then leave for the salt marshes before joining the road from Bérigo to Prad Velin, they will take the road from Le Croisic and the road from Saint-Nudec to make the Croisicaise loop of the coast tour. The riders will then join Le Pouliguen via the coastal road RD 45, the last rider should leave the territory around 14:10.
The streets concerned by the two circuits are closed to traffic, except for residents (the exit and the entrance towards the houses will therefore be possible but always in the direction of the race). Attention the RD 245, road of Kermoisan, will be blocked at the roundabout at the intersection Route du Manérick / Route de Kermoisan until approximately 11 am. Only access to the villages of Roffi at and Kermoisan will be possible from Le Pouliguen.
The municipality has been working for several months with the organizers to secure the courses and the runners. The technical services and the municipal police will be fully mobilized that day, alongside the 170 volunteers and gendarmerie crews present. We thank the citizens and road users for kindly respecting the municipal officials and volunteers who will get involved that day so that everything goes well!
Traffic will be very strongly disrupted, even impossible in certain areas and during certain periods: as far as possible, we invite the inhabitants to postpone their planned movements in the morning.
