OPENING OF THE JEAN ET SOIZIK FRÉOUR PARK

The first stage of the work on the Jean and Soizik Fréour park is completed. In total and at the end of this year, 25 trees with stems or stumps and about 4,000 subjects (shrubs, plants, flowers) will be planted on the 2,400 m2 plot.
• Tribute to the couple Fréour The park’s opening to the public is scheduled for Saturday, August 9.
On this occasion, the municipality will pay tribute to the sculptor and his wife by unveiling a statue made by Aymeric Louvet, Breton sculptor. This statue of about two meters in height, made of yellow granite from Languedias, represents Jean Fréour sculpting his muse: Soizik Fréour.
• 'The metamorphosis of the muse'
The three buildings on the site: the villa, the workshop and the laundry room will remain inaccessible to the public for the moment. In the meantime, the graphic studio KATRA has invested their openings: on each door and window, paintings recount the metamorphosis of the muse of this garden. Locked up for years in the
pierre, she escaped her statuary form to become a plant in human form, sowing the seeds source of creation. In each case she hides, plays cat and mouse with the visitors, she has fun and covers everything with colorful petals to revive the place.
