Palandrin beach

The Palandrin beach is next to the bay of Pont-Mahé, a famous spot for windsurfing and more recently kite surfing.

This large and beautiful beach of fine sand is also, at high tide, a swimming paradise for families with children (at low tide it retreats quite far); the sand is warm and swimming is safer (a flat bottom over a long distance).

Guided tours are offered. The zebra cliffs of the Palandrin will make you discover treasures that are more than 400 million years old. The volcanoes that used to occupy the territory and have left their traces there. The second part of the visit concerns the environmental problems linked to the coastline.

The quality of the water is judged to be average but sufficient.
