The Brivet's wooden navy museum

This museum tells the quite unknown history of the Brière saillors wich, along centuries, distinguish themselves by their knowledge of the seas and oceans.
Coastal navigation or long trips to West Indies, Canada or Africa, the Brièrons went (almost) everywhere and left their tracks where they spent time.
Follow our saillors in history with maps, old letters, models, pictures and a video...

Discover then the story of the Brière shipyards : from the construction of barges in the 16th century to the creation of the transatlantic liners in the 19th centuray, between Montoir and St-Nazaire : enjoy another particularity of the Brière culture !
