Village of Kerhinet
Composed of 18 thatched cottages, two bread ovens, a well and a washing place, Kerhinet is a typical hamlet of the Brière.
Bought by the Brière Nature Park in the 1970's, Kerhinet is today an open air museum, dedicated to the local architecture, a promenade, and a starting point to discover the Nature Park.
Open all year long and free of charge, entirely pedestrian, Kerhinet can be visited in familly or with friends, by folowing the 12 panels of explanations about the former life style and the history of the village (in French, translated in English and German).
In the village, enter the cottage named "Maison du Parc".
Inside, an exhibition introduces the Brière Nature Park : wild flora and fauna, towns and landscapes.
La Maison du Parc's team provides tourist information (booking, ticket office), guided tours, bike rental, gift and bookshop.
La Chaumière des Saveurs et de l'Artisanat gathers thirty local craftmen and producers : be tempted by the honey, the cider, the salt and delicatessen of our country !
For the gourmands : don't miss Kerhinet's farmer market, every thursdays of july, august and half of september: Nice ambiance, good food, lovely people !
The inn of Kerhinet welcomes you for lunch and supper, all year round.
Make the magic longer by sleeping in one of the cottages : rooms are to rent !
In the two others cottages, "La Catiche" and "Le Gîte des Ecoliers", exhibitions, tells and shows take place all summer long : ask for the program !
See you soon in Kerhinet !
